I personally played most of the Paper Mario games, with that said, I think this entry is the weakess one to date. I HATED getting into battles. The weird new system that requires you to spin your enemies around and move them up and down is just horrible. The only thing that kept me going is that it was a Mario game and with that, everything else is usually pretty good. With 6 unique worlds and fun, light-hearted story line, this is what kept me engaged. You never 'level' up or grow stronger, just as you progress through the game worlds you discover the same weapons you own but stronger upgrades. This was bland and boring, You get shoes and you get hammers, different variations of each. I would of loved to try different weapons or level up and see my health points and strength go up, but instead you find red hearts that add more HP and you discover weapons that are the same ones you own but stronger. They could of done so much more with this game. I was totally let down. For a AAA Mario game, it's ehhh. Does not hold it's weight, better luck next time.
