Panzer Dragoon Saga truly stands the test of time... In many ways this game is the greatest RPG of the 32-bit age!

Alone on a weekday, while the wife is away, I pulled out my copy of PDS, dusted it off, and loaded it into the mighty Saturn. I know it's 2006 here but I haven't ever played this thing for more then 30 mins until now.

The first thing that you notice right away is how clear the FMV is. The best I've ever seen on the saturn. After the intro you find yourself in the boots of a young man named Edge (not the wrestler). Not long after this you meet your dragon and are on you way to save the world.

Graphics - The most overrated part of any game review. So yes, PDS excels here with very little to no slowdown and making you believe at times you're really playing a nintendo 64 minus that strange foggy effect. PDS provides Saturn fans with all the little details you'd expect from the team of the first two games in the series.

Gameplay - The battle system here is based of a real-time engine, but the real challege is morphing your dragon to withstand the battle you're engaged in. HP/MP still comes into play as with any true-based RPG.
This can become embracing and somewhat of a challege at times but no battle is really hard overall as long as you are properly fitted for your enemy.

Controls - One of the best features of the game. Everything is very easy and simple to do. Bottom line!

Sound - What do you expect from the Panzer dragoon series. Top notch!

Overall - Still holds it's own with any RPG on the market today. What makes this game even more special is the fact the game is so rare. Now you're saying that sucks the game is a 100+ dollars but buy it, play it, and sell it then. It's not like the game loses value. A true investment of time and money!
