A new, fun and innovative take on the FPS genre.

I'm essentially boycotting EA because I believe they are bad for the gaming industry, what with massproducing games just to earn the moolah, e.g. the Burnout series. Burnout 2 - Point of Impact was a crazy masterpiece in it's own speedfreak-destructive genre with relative feeling to the cars.
EA bought up Criterion and started with Burnout 3: Takedown, which was alright but absolutely no where near B2. Mainly because the whole thing about racing and dodging everything and doing the race as cleanly as possible was the goal, not blast through everything.
To top it off they squeezed out this other crap, Burnout: Revenge, like not even waiting until Burnout 3: Takedown had gone cold or relatively cold.

Well enough about my disgust towards EA, because this game sorta made me think otherwise.

Oddworld is a fun world, with Clackerz and Grubbs etc. The game has this cartoonish feeling with alot of spaghetti western touch.
And the humour in it is spot on, like when Stranger says about the bounty on Jo Momma (yes, that's her name): "I'm gonna bag Jo Momma, hur hur!"

The whole system with the live ammo is a nice refresher from regular FPS games with cartridges and stuff relating to our weapons. I love those games, but sometimes ye just wanna have a change in yer gaming experience, ye ken?

The whole story is sorta cool too, Stranger being a bounty hunter on the quest for enough money to pay for this major surgery he needs to "survive" (I don't wanna spoil anything so I won't go any further).

One o' my favourite thing about the game is the like southern accent all Clackerz have and the laidback-surfer-"dude" talk that the Grubbs have.

Too sum it all up it's quite a fun adventure but not to be taken as serious as epic FPS games like the Halo saga.
