Nioh's promise feels lackluster due to poor balanced difficulty

User Rating: 7 | Nioh (Digital Deluxe) PS4

Epic setting, great elements, thoroughly out of balance. The stages are not difficult, small and not challenging until you meet the stages bosses which are terribly overpowered.
This is not difficulty based upon a skilled enemy it is difficulty based upon one hit kills or one hit into a combo kill sequence. Literally makes statistics laughable and entails that you have to over-level your character by repeating stages many many times. If this was corrected the game would be amazing but since it was purposed to be like this I can only say the developers wanted to annoy you and consume your time with the illusion of challenge. It is not rewarding to spend 30 tries to kill a boss who kills you in 2 hits after you are hitting them 50-60 times. It just creates an almost tragic vibe. Not for casual gamers and not for gamers who like to retain sanity or efficient use of time energy and attention.
