The arcade edition of Ninja Gaiden was originally released pretty closely to the NES classic of the same name. However, instead of featuring the insanely hard but amazing platforming gameplay of the 8-bit classic, this version of Ninja Gaiden features somewhat unfair but forgettable 80's arcade beat-em' up gameplay. Honestly, other than it being a "Ninja Gaiden" game and the main guy looking like a ninja I couldn't really think of anything that sets this apart from the plethora of other 80's beat-em' ups of the time. So, I think most people should skip this. However, absolute fans of arcade beat-em' ups may get some enjoyment out of this since while it doesn't really stand out and it does seem unfair at times, it also doesn't devolve into being something I'd say was bad or incompetent.
