I have been an EA hockey game fan for years. NHL 10 is just a total train wreck. They total messed the bed on this one. The developing was obviously shady at best and testing was either slight or non-existent. It is full of glitches, bugs, freezeups and miscalculations(and this is after their first patch). Most of the game is a repack from NHL 09 but yet the mechanics of play seem like they tinkered with it and totally swung and missed. There are so many issues that I really dont feel like typing it all. In short- BAP is a repack. Same mind boggling system. They added a hockey shop to equip gear that you unlock that can add stat boosts;however, they thought it was in the best interest to allow purchase(Real money) of the best equip/boosts. Online play- Full of glitches, Voice chat is still STFU after years and game freezes. General play- Boardplay happens all to often and slows game down too much, Fighting is a joke and seems to happen wether you wish to or not. Opponents can pokecheck the puck off your stick from the most obsurd positions. EA should do themselves a favor and allow development of the NHL series based on love of the sport and the fans rather then their bank accounts. This is a waste of 70 bucks and an abomination that is a slap in the face to this series fans.

Well the price going up 70$(cad) really sucks especially a game that is full of bugs. The gameplay changed a bit but not a huge diff between 08 - 09. If you have 09 don't buy it unless u are a hardcare online person then... Read Full Review
