Great gamplay, let down on the presentation.
This is the biggest thing that bugs me, I being an Anaheim Ducks fan is absolutely furious on what a horrible job they did to change the team from the Mighty Ducks. First the jerseys’ line don’t even come close to lining up. There are grey spots underneath the player’s arms. Whenever the announcers introduce the team the call them the Ducks of Anaheim, which has been obviously edited from the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The introductory light color is blue when it should be Orange. Selanne is wearing 13 when he should be 8. Pronger is wearing 7 when it should be 25. Niedermayer is 43 when he should be 44. Giguere is wearing pads from last year and Bryzgalov is wearing all white pads that are horrible. When you win the Cup as the Ducks the next year the banner that is raised has the old logo on it. Whats up with that? What couldn’t EA talk to Buffalo and Anaheim to ask what changes are going to made? And why did the Anaheim jerseys come out so misaligned and others did not? The commentary seams the same as the last time as I played an EA Game that was NHL 2003! Selanne is still mispronounced. I wished that the fans would do more than just sit down the whole time on their seats. So unless you are planning to not play/play against the Ducks/Buffalo you will have a fun time. The game play is sweet and the only thing that lets me down is the presentation.
