The game is good, but it is just too short.

New Super Mario Bros 2 is a game for the 3DS which has added a new feature to the game: coin collecting!! If you thought that getting coins in previous Mario games was useless as they only gave you a 1-UP, then think again! Nintendo made a challenge for you to get a million coins in the game while saving the princess from Bowser. They also added downloadable course packs in the new Coin Rush mode for you to play and challenge yourself to getting as much Coins as you can while clearing the course in 100 seconds.

The platforming is as great as ever, but the levels are either too easy or not well thought out. Another problem is the game's short length which is also a problem in previous games like New Super Mario Bros DS. This makes the game less fun, almost no fun if the game did not have the added challenge of getting 1,000,000 coins.

There is honestly not that much to talk about in terms of content, because NSMB2 does not have a lot to go about, though it is good for a short while, there is not much to do at post-game except try to get a million coins. New Super Mario Bros 2 is clearly a step back from the previous NSMB games in terms of content. Besides a very short 1-player mode and a few map packs, NSMB2 is by far my least favourite entries in the NSMB series. I feel like the game could have done so much more in terms of content, but oit failed to. However, for what it is, it is a good distraction if you are a coin-collecter in Mario games. If you want to buy this game, I suggest renting it first to see if its worth your money.
