Sorry about the previous version of this review. I thought it seemed more of a rant about the DS Lite system than about the game itself, which is why I edited it. This game really is amazing, with flying frame rates, pulsating music, great gameplay, and creative programming. The graphics are great, considering that the game has to display buildings, graffiti on those buildings, and a whole bunch of cars moving at high speeds at one time. The car variety is great, featuring almost everything from a measly VW Beetle to the mind-blowingly powerful Lamborghini Reventon. The in-game graphics also reflect the cars' energy sources. For instance, the engine revs on a Tesla Roadster sound much more electrified than the other cars, and if you use nitro on the Tesla, electricity will shoot out the exhaust pipes instead of fire. The sound too, is amazing. The actual soundtrack needs some work, with "Code of the Road" by Danko Jones, "Sine Language" by The Crystal Method, and "Not Thinking Straight" by Pint Shot Riot being the only songs that don't need to be touched. The sound quality is good, but that depends on the Nintendo DS system being used. The sounds seemed crisp and sharp on the DS Lite. I have long since regained all of my cars after my tragic data loss.
A word from the wise: DON'T TURN OFF THE DS WHILE THE GAME IS SAVING!!!
