it's...good?

Yes it is! The new NFS game "Nitro" is very fun and refreshing and guess what it did to me (with the help of the Shift demo) I GAINED CONFIDENCE IN THE NFS SERIES AGAIN! I lost it once "Carbon" came out. Anyway the game is arcade racer with lots of vehicles and tracks/modes. Along with the regular racing something is thrown into the gameplay to turn it on it's head... heroic driving system (HDS)! Now HDS can happen at many points 1: at the start line you press the HDS button (x) to stop a line in the green area of a meter and get a boost! 2: when cops form a road block, if you time your press well then you can go through without crashing! Also you get points within the race by completing tags through out the course by going through hoops. These points go to your total score at the end which is determined by: Placing, tags and how you utilized HDS and drifting! So you could come in second and still win! Well now that I got that out of the way here we go with the pros and the cons.
Pros:
-Good graphics
-HDS
-Addictive gameplay
-music is good (most of the time)
Cons:
-Terrible customization options
-Sometimes impossible to respond to HDS in time (ie:due to a road block coming out of nowhere)
-Too easy
-Can lag at times
So Nitro is the best NFS on the DS I've seen so it's definitely worth a but in my eyes. But of course something that I like might not be someone elses cup of tea. So as always it's up to you!
