Better than ever for 09.

The PS2 version was not overlooked for 09. The new features are sweet - Family Play, SuperSim. Mascot Challenge and Play Preparation. Family Play is particularly well done. The Family Play user has much simpler controls, but can still do most of the things that can be done by an advanced user. Anyone new to the game should be able to pick it up right away and have fun. In addition, his play call is much easier to understand. The game should not be intimidating or confusing at all. The Family Play mode works in Dynasty, too. Gameplay, already at the top of the class, is better than ever. Special moves (juke, spin, stiff arm) can be done in combination. And many other improvements have been made to gameplay, including better wedge blocking, defenders taking better cut off angles to the ball carrier, new impact block animations, and more move specific tackles and break tackles. All and all the 09 version is a significant improvement from last year. I'm glad to see EA still giving the love to PS2 games. It is well worth the small investment.
