its more than meets the eye
The game is good concepted, has solid dynamics and great tactical depth.
The Good:
+ Great Tactical depth.
+ Immersive atmosphere
+ Satisfactory Carrier action
+ Submarines are great to master
+ No saving mid game adds to thrill.
The Bad:
- not user-friendly interface, could have been better.
- There are no place where players can examine the units in greater depth. (Just like the "library" in Silent Hunter 3)
- Scenario could have been told better (talking heads wont do it sorry)
- unit animations could bu simple but at least effects could be improved. Animations often freeze.
- Sounds are awful. At least they could have made it modable (paradox games are usually highly modable games but this is not ?).
-Musics are terrible and repetetive! designers could give the players the option of using their own music at least!
- No game editor or mission editor.
There is a great potential in NWAC. I am sure with a couple of patches and a game editor it would be a outstanding game. Even if it was more user-mod friendly, the community would have given it a great shape already with improved music and sounds. (*.wav for soundfx and mp3 for music would be wise)
