Best Naruto game, but still a shallow fighting game

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm is a pretty fun game. It features lots of characters. The story is presented pretty weak, but I take it everyone who is interested in Naruto already knows the story, if not you wont be playing this because of the story anyway, but because of the cool and fast fighting. Konoha village is fun to play in for a while but there isn't anything really interesting there. Combat is pretty simple and doesn't take long to master, just spam circle to chain combos, if you're getting pummeled then spam defense and activate a jutsu tehnique here and there, some can be used cleverly to produce tactical fighting methods but most are pretty much straightforward attacks. There are only 2 jutsu tehniques you can use in combat even though everyone has 4 or more and that's a bummer. You can call in two comrades to help you which is cool, but they appear only for a second or two and have only 1 attack that can get predictive and old.

The soundtrack doesn't do the game any justice, and sadly you cannot event turn it off and play your own music without turning off all other sound effects. There also isn't any online play. The game looks great, almost exactly like the anime, but the combat is pretty shallow and straightforward once you get to know it. If you want the best Naruto game this is it, but if you want to play a deep fighting game that actually takes some skill to play with your friends, then look elsewhere. Its a good casual game, but nothing to get very competitive about.
