This game is freaking awesome, and it changed the world of video games. You put together 2 ninjas, a half-bionic mercenary, a movie star, a thunder god, a Shaolin monk, a female military officer, a four armed creature, a powerful sorcerer, a secret character named Reptile, lots of blood, and you have Mortal Kombat. The graphics are kind of realistic in their own way, the storyline is awesome, the gameplay is sweet, but the sound sucks. Sub-Zero's freeze move is really sweet, but when you freeze the opponent while he or she is frozen already, he/she defrosts and you freeze (which makes NO SENSE). There's this mini combo that I use where where I use a sweep kick and then I get the opponent with a high kick that gets turned into a knee smack before he/she gets up. Shang Tsung is hard to beat. The best advice that I could really give you is to keep using jump kicks on him. Or if you're playing as Sub-Zero, you should keep freezing him and then uppercut him, with occasional jump kicks of course. I'm a really big fan of the Test Your Might mini game. Too bad you can only play once every three fights. This is a revolutionary game. RESPECT :-)
