Every fighter that participated in the first 3 Mortal Kombat games compacted into one big title. All the stages fom all Mortal Kombat games, music, bosses, and even old character concepts are put in. The game still takes place in the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 era.

This is where Shao Kahn invades earth by having Shang Tsung ressurrect Kitana's dead mother Sindel, in earthrealm. Thus in being successful would allow Shao Kahn and Outworld itself to take over earthrealm by force. All the people of earth had thier souls taken by Shao Kahn, but a select few, earths warriors new and old, were spared thanks to Raiden.

Though their souls are safe, their lives are not. This game also contains all of the alities (fatalities, animalities, babalities, brutalities etc) Though animalities sucked some are funny. This game relies alot on comic mischeif ( even during some fatalities) a little too much. The death animations aren't as good as Mortal Kombat 2's were,

The graphics seem a little duller than MK 2's as well, though still good.Never the less Mortal Kombat Trilogy is a great game.
