Deception is quite a fun game if you are a MK fan and maybe so even if you are not. Graphically, the game is nicely done..not DOA but good enough. Sound wise, the hits sound like they hurt and the music is typical MK style music, which fits this dark game nicely. Fighting online is new to the series and it is nearly lagless...remember to check the optimatch to make sure you have a good connection with your opponent. I've enjoyed the matches I've had online and they can get pretty hectic if you find a good opponent. Puzzle and chess Kombat are fine additions too and perfect for when you just want to goof off from all the fighting. Konquest....uhh...it's a bit of a chore but it is doable and you need to do it anyway to unlock a lot of things so my advice is to just put up with it and finish it. It could have been better done but hey...it's not bad. The online gives this game a lot of replay value so this is a good reason to grab LIVE if you haven't already. Nicely done game.
