Mortal Kombat 9 was the perfect way to reboot the series. It features a roster of 20+ including all-time favorites such as Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and Scorpion.

First of all, MK9 has a great, fast-paced gameplay similar to the first 3 games. Second, it has a very, very good graphics design, the models and environments are very well made.

Now for the game specific stuff. Mortal Kombat lives up to it's name with it's brutal moves, gory X-rays, and ultra violent fatalities.

Yes, the fatalities are back and they're even more brutal! For those who are not familiar with the MK universe, a fatality is a finishing move, when you beat your opponent and deplete his health bar on the second round you can choose to "finish him" with a bloodsoaked finishing move, and end his miserable life (MUAHAHA). Since, the toned down gore in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe it's great to see the bloody finishing moves return.

Overall, this game is packed wit the content needed to provide you with hours of fun.
