Outstanding game with few drawbacks

I got my game about a week ago and it has been hard to get away from. There are many types of gameplay modes, but the one that has kept me busy is the career mode. You start out as a low talent AA player and with solid statistics and amount of time played, can improve all aspects of your player's game. It is very hard to play all of the games in a baseball season, but with great fast forward and simulation modes, it is not difficult. Before a game you can choose to simulate to when your player next plays so that you don't have to wait a whole game just to see your player not come off the bench. During a game you can choose to just simulate to when your player is hitting, which makes the games go by in an instant.

The graphics in this game are great. The players look very real-like when they field grounders or fly balls and the hitters react realistically to strike outs or ground outs. The sound is good from the commentators and the music is so-so. The commentators are very knowledgeable and funny, but can get annoying when they make fun of your players ability when they say things like, "Well that swing was horrible."

The only problem I have with this game is the loading times before and after games (in all gameplay modes.) To start a game takes close to a minute and getting back to the menu after a game takes about 45 seconds. Because right now I am only hitting when my player gets up and then going on to the next game, I feel like I am waiting most of the time I am playing the game. Once you get into the game though you forget the loading and are able to play one of the best games (and best sports game) for psp.
