Portable Ops is a very fun and addictive game in the MGS series that takes place after MGS 3: Snake Eater. You are once again Big Boss/Naked Snake(what a weird codename :D). He is abducted by his ex-team FOX and is interrogated about the Philosopher's Legacy. He escapes with Roy Campbell (yes, the Colonel from later games) only to realize that they are in deep....

They won't get help from the USA and they have to face both the renegade FOX members and Russian soldiers. They are obviously outnumbered, so they come up with the plan of abducting enemies and persuading them to join their side. This is mainly done by taking your enemies to your truck, but there are also various other ways to get allies. You can even get some old friends from Snake Eater, like EVA, Ocelot and Para-Medic! Also, you can get most of the bosses from the main storyline of the game.

The missions are bite-sized which serves the game well, being a portable title. There are tons of things to do besides the story, there are many side-missions, and you can also burn time with doing nothing but revisiting old areas looking for above-average soldiers. Getting all the special characters also takes some time.

The graphics and the sound are spectacular, I found them really amazing next to how much stuff was put into this game. Snake looks like Snake, and thankfully, sounds like Snake (David Hayter is the real deal). The characters are really well-detailed, but the maps look a bit barren and empty. But still, it's all great.

Overall, this game kicks butt! Numero Uno greatest game on the PSP with only other spectacular titles (like Tekken DR, Crush, Syphon Filter DM, GoW:CoO) coming close.
