A great collection of the first six X games, but that's all it really is: a collection.

User Rating: 8.6 | Mega Man X Collection GC
The MegaMan X Collection is a great addition to any GCN owner's library. It has the first six MegaMan X games on it, with an unlockable game to boot. Sadly, as fun as the collection was, there wasn't much to it after that except for some craptacular photos and some other unlockable features.

First Impression:

I got the game when it was at Wal-Mart for $20 bucks. it was well worth it's price. This game brought back so many memories of when I went to my friends house to play X4 all day and try to beat his X1 for his SNES. Capcom really worked hard to transfer the games over and barely lost any quality to the game's graphics. I still thought that X4 looked considerably better on the PSX or PC, but it was still fun to go through it again.

Afterwards:

Well, after beating the games, the fun died out a bit. Sure, I love the X series to pieces, but it just wasn't worth it to play them again sometimes. The MegaMan Battle and Chase game that you can unlock was like a Mario Kart of sorts, which made my day, but that got dull after beating it a few times as well. Also, I noticed (mainly for MegaMan X2) that the sound was screwy. It wouldn't play all the sounds correctly and it kinda spoiled the game a bit. The unlockables aren't at all too exciting. Just a few pictures and some music, along with a few hints. Yippe. But I still am glad to own it because it is a great series and should be in any GC owner's collection.

Overall:
Good: I get to play through the X series without having to go buy all the games (Yes, that means you X3!!!)

Bad: The unlockables feel like a waste of time to unlock, save for Battle & Chase

Ugly. Sound glitches can really ruin the fun sometimes.

Last Word:
I suggested picking it up. If you've never played a X game in your life, you might not be too inspired to buy it, but if your a fan of the X series, it's a good pickup.
