A Megaman adaptation that enhances the original in every way!
Megaman Maverick Hunter X is a great example of how a videogame port should be done. It's better than the original in every way and is an impressive action title for the PSP.
On the PSP, Megaman looks absolutely amazing. Instead of just rehashing the old 2D graphics from the SNES version of Megaman X, Capcom recreated the artwork, dialogue, graphic effects, and level layouts. Even hardcore fans familiar with the original will have plenty of new material to make this version worth their time. It's rewarding to see the level of bold colors and clean animations the PSP is capable of. Although the game is still a classic side-scrolling shooter, the world of Megaman is now fully 3D from the backgrounds to the enemies. This makes each and every animation look much more fluent. The upgraded visuals are also presented in widescreen on the PSP, which gives you a larger horizontal perspective while running through each level, enhancing the overall experience. The music has also been remixed, but you should still recognize your favorite tracks.
