While repetitive and and over done, it makes for a great portable shooter.

User Rating: 8.5 | Medal of Honor Heroes 2 PSP
For the PSP system, they're really not a whole ton of FPS titles available. In fact, not including titles on the Playstation Network Store, the oly commercial FPS titles I can think of are Medal of Honor Heroes and Heroes 2, and Call of Duty Roads to Victory. Heroes 2 is then in that case the only one I've played personally. And while it isn't very different from it's big brothers on the PC or other consoles, Heroes 2 is a solid shooter for the PSP system, if not a bit derivative and "Been there Done That". And true, there are tons of WWII games on the market (Well there was...), but when it comes to FPS titles on the PSP, you don't have a whole ton of options for this aging piece of hardware that you may still be trying to gain some use out of. But, if FPS games on the go are your thing, Heroes 2 might be worth checking out.

While not the prettiest game, it does have some good effects for the PC and can sustain high action sequences. Also, for a World War II shooter, it has some color too it. Also, weapons feel good to use ad look nice in first person, and third person models look good too. Character animations though are clunky and look generally bad, and enemies tend to fade away before they even hit the ground. However, a neat feature is that you can shoot the helmets off of enemies.

Though speaking of enemies in general, they aren't very special. Despite having three distinctly different looking skins in Multiplayer, the German forces all look the same, in generic gray uniforms. And the AI is rather poor. Enemies will run past you in order to reach pre-destined locations, making themselves easy targets for you to take out. Additionally, in easy difficulty levels, they aren't very good shots, and can be eliminated easily. Additionally, you seem to just be mowing down wave after wave with abandon. On harder difficulties they just have really good aim.

Now, while you are killing these Nazi's, you may wonder what you can kill them with. You have a number of options, including old classics from other WWII shooters like the Thompson and MP40. The German STG44 also appears, along with two types of rocket launchers, and two different handguns. You also have access some different types of rifles. Overall, a lot of WWII weaponry.

The single player itself only has about six different levels, that all us e a checkpoint system for saving. However, while only a few levels, you have incentive going back through them in order to unlock achievements and go for gold medals, which is where you complete secondary objectives (Like finding intel or using mounted MG42's to take on waves of Nazi's).

The game also comes with Team based Multiplayer like TDM and CTF, along with standard DM. Players can arm themselves with Faction specific weapons. However, while there is still an online community, a lot of player shave managed to hack the game to suit there own needs.
