Though the single player isn't long or decent, the multiplayer is what will keep people coming for a long time.

When Microsoft's xbox live service was brand new, a game for xbox live was also around that time, Mechassault. One of the first xbox live games for xbox live, it had a variety of mechs to choose from in many game types that spanned from destruction(death match) to weight sized limit matches(skirmish) and capture the flag, it was an instant classic. So how's it sequal? Let's find out. Mechassault 2 is a third person shooter where you pilot a variety of mechs to kill people in other mechs. Well, if it's basically the same as mechassault, then why is it so good? Because now, you can pilot an elemental type mech called the battle armor. With the battle armor, you can cling to walls, friendly mechs and hijack enemy mechs. The hijacking of a mech is when you jump jet near an enemy mech and press A. When this happens, an interface comes up and you need to press buttons when they appear. When you succeed, the enemy in the mech dies and it's yours for the taking. When the battle armor fails, you lose half of your health and you're fallen down. This helps bring new strategy and gameplay mechanics into Mechassault 2. The single player is you, the mechwarrior fighting lots of mechs and tanks in tanks, VTOLs and of course, mechs. The single player is very repetative and the voice acting, by the end, is like nails on a chalk board, but it does what the game is about, destroying stuff. The multiplayer is very fun and with mech jacking, swaping mechs, and getting out of the mech on foot, this game has a great multiplayer. Even the downloadable content is going to keep people coming back to this game again, and again, and again. Bottom line, if you loved halo 2, but just wanted to step into 40 foot mechs and reek havok, with awesome graphics, then this is the game for you.
