8 years later : Doesn't make a difference
The games story is its main driving force and supported by original game play at the time. The game is pure fun and the story linking it all together is intriguing and enthralling.
Looking past its age this game its a real classic and it holds strong even in today's age of high tech glossy shooters. There are very little in 2009 that can compare with the strong suspensful story dovetailing truly magnificent game play,
We can see what inspired Max Payne through the Matrix and John Woo films but its influence has come full circle with the Matrix games and even John Woo's forray in to the gaming world with Stranglehold.
Im greatful to have discovered this gem and the 2nd is already on the way. Also hoping the rumours are true of a third installment on the current consoles.
People pick this game up on ebay or keep an eye out at your local game store, should cost no more than 10 dollars or 5 pounds.
