Mario Kart 64 is the sequel to the very popular Super Mario Kart. It is a high speed kart racing game that features some of our favorite Nintendo charecters. It includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, DK, Toad, Yoshi, and Wario. They each drive their karts in unique and creative racetracks. These tracks are now in 3D and are really good, since every track has its own theme. They can also use items to beat other racers to the finish line. It is a fun game, but the computer can be VERY cheap at times. MK64 is probably one of the best multiplayer games on the N64. Racing with your friends is always great, but the battle mode is the best! The battle tracks are just so great, and really add to the experience! The graphics for the racetracks are great use of the N64's power, but using sprites for the charecters is kind of odd. The music is great, the kind of tunes you expect from a Mario game. If you want a good kart racer for the N64, try this one out. BUT If you want to make good use of the N64's four controller slots, get this game.
