Manhunt-an overall good but repetitive game.

Well, overall I will say I enjoy this game.Your character is James Earl Cash,a convict on death row who instead of being given a lethal injection is given knockout drugs. Why?So he can become the pawn of "the director",
a man who wishes to use Cash as the "star" in his latest snuff films. He turns Cash loose in old abandoned parts of Carcer city to fend for his life against gangs of his henchmen called "hunters",who have orders to kill Cash on sight, preferably in a very violent manner. You as Cash must survive many progressively harder levels against these hunters by mainly using stealth. This game at heart is a stealth game very similar in play to the Tenchu series. It creates a tense, scary atmosphere full of shadows, fear,
and enemies who are mostly dumb as a brick.80% of your gameplay will go like so-1.hide in shadow 2.hit nearby wall/object to make noise to cause a nearby hunter to investigate 3.wait until brainless hunter concludes it was nothing and walks away-sneak up behind him and kill him in a violent manner.Wash,rinse,repeat.The game is repetitiive but still fun,and it is a good story with a few twists. Most of the stages are stealth and all about sneaking, but a few are more about getting in full-on shootouts with the hunters, which is fun and done well, for the most part. Some of the stages towards the end are interesting in that you can choose to try to be stealthy
or just go in guns blazing. The combat/shooting engine is the same as GTA,
and headshots are auto-aimed at a close distance for you,so the tactic is obvious-get as close as you can to a wall or your back to it and get just the right angle to pop the hunters as soon as they pop in your sights. It was actually easier for me to just run around like Rambo on the harder stages and lure the hunters into headshots than to try and sneak, but you have the choice, which is cool.Overall, the gameplay in this game is great, and no major faults.

Graphics are good but nothing great-like all last gen R* games this runs on the GTA3 engine,so you know what to expect, average graphics.Sound is very well done and fits the game-the ambient music is creepy and sets the mood. The various comments by the hunters as they walk around really add
personality.

Overall I recommend this game if you like stealth, action,or even survival-horror,because this game is like a combo of all three. It will keep you playing
to the end because the story is good and you really want to find out what happens.
