2k gets a bad rap. This is a great game

I love baseball so I bought both 2k11 and the show 11. By far the show is the better game. no doubt about it. Better graphics, better animations, more fine tuning and higher production values. But... 2k is alot more fun. Fielding IMO is superior (and agian, alot more fun) on 2k. Batting and pitching I prefer on 2k but one thing the GS reviewer didnt mention is its pretty tricky to be accurate pitching and... they added a composure feature to the pitching where basically If your pitcher gets into trouble he gets stressed out and you have to bring the coach to the mound to calm him down. Sounds like a good idea but you can only do it once per inning. So if he gets in trouble agian or if someone knocks one outta the park, your pretty much forced to pull him. Now... why I dont like that is because in 2k you actually have to learn to throw the pitches correctly (which is cool!) but when you have to bring in the releavers... you might not be good throwing with them.
Batting in 2k is awesome. Its the same as in the show except you move the stick forward to contact swing, pull back then forward to power swing, pull left or right to defencive swing ect. I think it adds more depth because you have to try to read the pitch to get off the big swings. Over all I thought batting was better on 2k.
So that said, I really liked 2k. And Im playing it over the show and I think its way more fun but... that just it, its fun. Its not near as immersive as the show. The show is more of a true sim. Its slower paced but very accurate to the game. The graphics are amazing and the animations are lifelike. Even tho across the board I preferred the game play on 2k, if you are only gonna buy 1 game it should be the show. But if you can buy them both, do it. 2k11 is a blast.
