great game

There are a couple of the same faults that occur every year with this series and that is the monsters of rock soundtrack that becomes oh so repetitive and the John Madden himself. If I wanted to hear this game soundtrack, I would have bought the ESPN's Greatest Sports Themes CD when it was availabe in stores. I didn't buy it cause I didn't want it and I don't need it with my football. Michaels has a nice voice and makes some relevant commentary to the play at hand, but John Madden should not be an announcer. His ungermane, boring, and pointless commentary makes me want to shut the sound off the game. This game is fantastic, I would suggest buying it if you haven't already (you can get a used copy for about $3) playing it with the assistance of a big TV and a working mute button.

    Madden 2004 is the best of the football games.
