Fun but forgettable

All the reviews for Lumines were pretty high, so of course I had to pick it up. The game has some fast frantic beat music. You're basically dropping blocks of different colors, spinning them and trying to merge them into large groups of at least four or more before a constantly moving line comes back around. It gets pretty difficult because every time you screw up you have less and less room to drop your new blocks. As you get farther into the game you unlock new songs and new themes, basically different colored blocks ad new backgrounds. The gameplay is fast and it is a fun concept. There just wasn't enough there to keep me coming back once I'd played the game for a few hours. Those who really enjoy puzzle games may really have a good time with this one, and it was well done, it just wasn't the type of game for me.
