Lego Jurassic World can still offer a lot of fun filled with dinosaurs and puzzles

User Rating: 7 | LEGO Jurassic World PS3

When you first start hearing the main theme from the Jurassic Park series it's a trip back down memory lane anyone who saw Jurassic Park in cinemas back in 1993 or even watched it TV it still holds up today on how well detailed and crafted the first film is made. Looking at Lego Jurassic World covers all four movies in the franchise including Jurassic World all in one game, just like past Lego games we've had Star Wars, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, Lego Jurassic World follows the main story for all four movies however each of its storylines to fit the events into five levels per film. You'll still get to hear and see some of the best and memorable moments in the series including those notable scenes from each film do make you have a laugh or two making you want to play more of the game.

Okay yes you still get some of the odd glitches this has happened in past Lego games but most of them do get patched up with updates, however you will notice a few glitches but can easily be ignored most gameplay elements that you'll see in Lego Jurassic World does borrow past gameplay elements that were used in past games like having a small children fitting through a small vent or having someone who can use a weapon to aim at targets at a far away distance or a character that can use a light to see through a dark hallway. With Jurassic World you can create your own dinosaur which makes a nice touch about this game and using other dinosaurs solve certain puzzles or easily smash your way through the level on causing that much destruction.

You can build stuff by hold down the circle button to build new objects or complete certain puzzles or opening large gates. If you press triangle you can switch characters and during the main story you can switch back and forth on various characters based on the main story. With 26 levels to clear through on its main story it shouldn't take you that long to complete it but however you'll be going back and forth levels to pick certain pieces and collecting studs which can unlock more stuff including more characters. Side-Quests are also another feature being added in where you can rescue workers who are in peril. You can obtain an Amber Bricks through each levels if you can manage to find it the brick in each of the levels more you collect means you can unlock more dinosaurs.

When you compare Lego Jurassic World to the movies Traveller's Tales really did do a great job keeping close to the settings and theme from the movie franchise especially with Jurassic World having the chance to explore the park itself, the chase scenes look impressive as well during gameplay when you are being chased by a T-rex or a stampede of dinosaurs. The camera system can be a little annoying at times when it comes across certain levels or you can't see where you're going, using the right analog stick to look around doesn't help as much; the movie soundtrack makes a great touch too making you feel welcome back in a movie based game, there's quite a few funny moments where certain stuff that were in the films but are replaced with silly Lego objects.

Trying to gain 100% shouldn't take you that long I would guess around at least 20-30 hours depending on how much you get through it or how much fun you want out of a Lego game. You can play up to 2 players and they can drop in and drop out at any time they like, I would admit that Lego games are getting a little better and better but they should try and take a break on it movie games for once in a while but makes you think what could they be working on next.
