An all around half-OK game but...There's just something that doesn't make the average gamer want to say "wow".

User Rating: 6.3 | L.A. Rush PS2
LA Rush basically stands for Lame A** Rush 2 Sequel. I didn't mind the game itself, but the overall quality of it was about as gritty as sand paper. The graphics are worth about nine claps and the audio qualities were superb; the gameplay however, was a total let down of its predacessor.

Pros:

The AI isn't entirely annoying, they actually become the perfect opponents when you're further into the game difficulty wise.

The handling makes corners a walk in the park, and it makes opponents ridiculously easy to plow into oncoming traffic.

Great Graphics

Pheunominal Audio

Cons:

Story: The story in most racing game i'll admit is never going to get an award; but L.A rush doesn't have much of a story worth a three frame comic strip or a Double Bubble One frame Funny (Small one frame comics obtained through "double Bubble" brand bubble gum).

Braking was ridiculous, at first i was under the assumption someone had slashed my brake lines...Then I remembered it's a video racing game, not GTA.

Racing became a chore after a few won vehicles.

Turning (I know it was in "pros" too but it's both): "perfect handling" made this game for too easy to beat.

No significant replay value.

irritating loading periods.

Rent it before you buy it, if you don't, and you loved Rush2, you in for a ridiculous let down. The new Rush feature of Pimping up your "whip" (Upgrading your car) makes this game look like it's trying to be like need for speed and other such games where the cars looks become everything.
