This isn't your actual Kirby based game but this is a spin-off title for a Kirby game on the Game Boy. Pinball machines and games have always been popular and have been around before most arcades and consoles were made. Yes Kirby Pinball Land was released in 1993 possibly around the same time as Sonic Spinball was released for the MegaDrive/Genesis but you can tell knock-off and spin-off titles under the pinball brand was popular in the 90's.

This is played like any other pinball machine, instead of pinballs you are using three Kirby balls, more points you get for bouncing of walls and knocking enemies off you'll get a higher score. Using the A button to control the right bumper and the down button to control the left bumper. However if one of your Kirby's falls to the button you can press A to get your Kirby ball back on the board but however if you fall to the bottom again you'll lose a Kirby ball, if you lose all three its Game Over meaning you can't save or use passwords to get back where you were.

Pinball Land is made up of three tables; Whispy Woods, Kracko and Poppy Bros, each made up of three floors. The aim of the game to help Kirby make his way up to the top floor in order to access each table's boss. Once you've defeated all three bosses you'll get to fight against King Dedede. Once you've beaten the game which shouldn't take you that long you can play the game again to gain a higher score.

Not only it's on the Game Boy you can also buy and download on Virtual Consoles and your 3DS at a good price. This is still worth checking out if you like Kirby games or Nintendo games and also if you're a fan of pinball games you may find this game both fun and addictive.
