Kirby is fun as always, but awkward game format doesn't quite pan out.

User Rating: 7 | Kirby Super Star Ultra DS
Kirby Superstar Ultra brings the round pinkness to the DS in fine form, with the always-entertaining cloning mechanic at its disposal, setting it a step above most other Mario clones. Unfortunately, Kirby SSU is SO easy that the coolness of the cloning device in the game is never met with any satisfaction of accomplishment.

Graphically, Kirby is a standout title. You never seem to lose your little pink blob among the vibrant background, which is an important accomplishment. The music is nothing great, but it is still a DS game, so the limitations are pretty heavy there.

Also, the game is just too short. Instead of one fluent storyline, you will make your way through six short mini-games ranging anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, but when you are dropping 30 bucks for a title, you want more than a ten hour game, and you deserve a better story than this mix of shallow nonsense.

All in all, Kirby is a title that is great fun, and what could be better than sucking up an enemy and having to decide if you will copy his powers or digest him? Just don't expect to be entertained with newness for very long, but with a high replay value, maybe you can squeeze another star out of this little pink blob.
