One of the best SNES titles ever made!
Gameplay challenged that of the Mortal Kombat universe. While Mortal Kombat was causing fatalities, Killer Instinct had their own fatalities and devastating finishing combos. Ultimate Combos and Ultras became a well known phrase back in the day as Killer Instinct dominated over many in the fighting genre! With huge combos, killer fatalities, and shaming the opponents...Killer Instinct had a lot to offer. With the notorious and very difficult boss Eyedol, he can easily be given the title as one of the hardest fighting bosses in the whole genre! Gameplay was nothing short of superfluous.
Graphics were so awesome and offered a change back when. With awesome and detailed graphics and characters, there could be no graphic complaints. Everything you'd expect and more.
Sound was an A+ in the grading category and won many people over. Kids in school play fighting bellowing out "Ultra!" and "Danger!", the sound became more of a fad then just another game sound. It will always be hallowed and remembered.
You wanna know why people smile when they hear Killer Instinct, simply because its a game among games! So if you can find a way to get it, do so and you won't be disappointed!
