Sequels inevitably have the good or bad luck of being measured against their previous efforts. If JC4 was a stand alone game it may of been regarded much better but following the fantastically fun and endlessly playable JC3, JC4 was too mission orientated, focused on its looks and ultimately and worst of all, boring. It was the explosive environments and how quickly you could dive into a base and cause utter chaos as well as cool characters and a decent story that made JC3 great and it seemed to take from JC2 and learn what was good about that game and expand upon it. JC4 only seems to take the basics and instead of feeling you can do all these things with speed and craziness, everything seems so much slower. It may look better and the physics, lighting, animation and sound effects feel better and are less cartoony but that is where it all ends showing that the developers forgot or ignored why people love JC 3 and that is the chaos. Hope they do a JC and that they learn from the failings.
