A Journey Like No Other

User Rating: 9.5 | Journey PS3
Would you pay $15 dollars to play a video game that only takes you a few hours to complete, but immerses you in an experience that is absolutely unique, and unlike anything you've ever played before?

In many ways, Journey sounds like a bad idea from it's description. A 3 hour game with multi-player online that has no chat or voice support? A game where you wander around a barren wasteland, trying to find your way to the top of a mountain? A game that is very simple to play, easy to complete, and focuses more on relaxing, thought-provoking game play rather than intense, quick-reflex oriented play?

This game is the polar opposite of the majority of video games in the market today. It's an anomaly that stands proudly and majestically alone in a world that is saturated with fast-paced first person shooter titles.

This game is a work of art. I know that may sound pretentious, but it's true. It captivated me, inspired me, and instilled me with a sense of wonder & amazement like no other game has done since Shadow Of The Colossus. In fact, the ending of this game was so exhilarating, I actually felt a sense of child-like wonder, as though I was learning to ride a bike or fly a kite for the first time.

So, if experiencing something like that is worth $15 dollars and 3 hours of your time, don't let this game pass you by. The journey may be short, and it may be different than what you're used to or expecting, but it's worth every penny, and every moment you'll spend.
