Not what i expected but not horrible.

When I first heard jaws was coming out I, a huge shark fanatic, was ravenously waiting for it. Alas I went to EB with my wife and finally bought it and i have to say i have a mixed feeling about it. I love being able to control Jaws but at the same time it gives me the feel of why am i still playing this game? The gore is awesome, the cut scenes are awesome, killing shamu is great, but that *&^% camera will give you a migrain. While I was fighting Shamu the camera kept switching to the surface view and even my wife commented on how difficult that made it. On another note with the shamu battle it really wasn't a battle since shamu really did nothing but constantly swim around the perimeter of the tank and all i had to do was tail him and bite.

After the "sea world" scene it kinda switched to a GTA feel with the radar and mission points but in grand theft auto you didn't take forever to get to your next mission. In this game it seems you are no where near to where any of the missions are. There are tons of side missions but when you beat one it doesn't remove it from the map so you could swim miles and miles just to find out that you were going for a mission you already completed.

In the missions they are very vague on how you are to complete the mission which means many restarts. In all honesty the best parts of the game are knocking people out of boats and eating them and in rebuttal to the actual review I kinda got a kick out of jumping on the beach and killing someone. The best moment of the game was in the dolphin killing mission when my 6 year old daughter said, "Can you leave the dolphins alone and start killing people again?" ha ha thats my girl!!
