Jaws isn't the best game out there, but it isn't the worst either.

In Jaws Unleashed you play as a great white shark. In the first part of the game you play the tutorial where it tells you about basic moves like chomp and tail whip... etc. At the end of the tutorial you are captured by Brody's son and brought Sea World (or a place that is similar to Sea World). At this point things get a little strange, you have to grab a scientist off a catwalk and bring him to a scanner to open a gate (I guess Majesco wanted to show you that the shark has a high IQ) then you break stuff... bla bla bla, at the end you fight your first boss, the killer whale. The killer whale isn't a tough boss, it just swims around in circles around the aquarium and if you get close to its mouth it bites you. After killing the killer whale you get to free roam and do whatever you want. So the gameplay is quite good, there is tons of blood and gore and guts and chunks of people but the gameplay isn't perfect though. The story is kind of cheesy ,there are some clipping glitches and slowdown, some people claimed their graphics going bad but it didn't happen to me... yet, i just think it is cause by dust in the ps2. Graphics aren't state of the art but they aren't horrible. Sound is ok... the music is cool but the animals sound strange like sharks roar and when seals make a sound underwater it sounds like a seal on land and also the voice acting is not that great. To me it is worth the $30 but some people don't like the game so they will says that the game is a waist of money(everyone has a different taste in games). If you aren't sure about it then rent it. I would recommend this game to people who like gore and Jaws fans but remember, if you are feeling unsure about this game then rent it because it's not fun to waist $30.
