What were you expecting??

When I heard that they were making a Jaws video game for the PS2, I had sudden flashbacks to my childhood where I spent countless hours trying to jab Jaws in the face with a spear from the front of an 8 bit boat. To say I was sceptical is an understatement, but I gave it a try anyway. I wasnt expecting this game to blow me away so when I played it at home, I wasnt overly disappointed. The gameplay is actually pretty spot-on and responsive (there are a few gliches where you will get stuck on something or out of the water and you cant get free). The graphics are decent for a game whos main character is a shark although the NPC's are dull and repetitive. The sound is good, I loved hearing the main theme at the beginning of the game and also throughout my adventures. Now the downside to this game. I found Jaws to get very repetitive, kill some people, kill some seals for health, swim around, knock stuff into the sea, kill people or seals for health....you get the picture. I know you are thinking, well you are a shark, whatelse are you supposed to do...and my answer to that question is....nothing! Thats the point, its fun for a little while but after a few hours, it gets old. Overall, my experience with Jaws was ok and it helped that I wasnt expecting much from this one!
