Jak and Daxter return to cause big trouble once again on the PS2

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was one of the first few games that I really wanted to get for the Playstation 2 when I first got the system then I learned a few years later that the they were to return in the much awaited sequel that was titled Jak 2 but don't let the title fool you into thinking it's all about Jak as everyone's favorite Ottsel returns also as a main star.
The story takes places some time after the events that occured in Jak and Daxter's first game as everyone is busy looking over a anicent Precursor Ring in which starts to open up to see a giant monster starting to come out as Jak and his pals bust themselves through the portal only to be taking to a large city known as Haven City where Jak is captured and for two years he is experimented on by having the dangerous Dark Eco zapped into him as it causes Jak to transform into a dark version of himself but lucky for him he gets saved by Daxter as they both learn there is a great war going on within the city against The Secret Underground and the leader of Haven City Baron Praxis who is the one behind Jak's dark eco problems but aside from that the dangerous Metalheads who are causing trouble for both sides so now it's up to Jak and Daxter to choose their allies well or end up dead in the process.
The areas that both Jak and his Ottsel buddy Daxter get to explore are very well done and I think are a little better in this game then in the first as get to see some interesting places as just to mention that the city of Haven is a pretty big place for you to explore and in some cases you will probably get lost trying to figure out where you need to go as that happened to me during my first time but thank goodness for the map as you must complete missions in order to keep the story going plus you may also notice that you will not see alot of those Precurcor Orbs that you had to collect in the other game as they are rare and are usually hidden in the areas or rewarded in secret side quests you must go to so keep your eyes out for them as they can be use to unlock stuff like artwork , in game cutscenes and more.
The most interesting part of the game if you ask me has to be the large collection of characters that you get to meet throughout the game as each one is different as some new characters including Torn who runs the secret Underground , Krew who is a really fat looking guy floating around on a hovering chair who knows many secrets hidden within the city walls and my favorite may have to be Pecker who is a half monkey and half bird character who sometimes likes to get into little fights with Daxter over little things but if you wondering if Jak will ever be able to see Samos and Keria ever again then you will have to see for yourself.
I found that while I played the game that it reminds me of the same elements that appeared in the Grand Theft Auto series as Jak can shoot guns to defeat enemies , ride around the city on a Zoomer to get from one place to the other but I never played the GTA games and finally a big first is that in this game Jak can finally talk so if your a fan of the first game then be sure to give Jak 2 a try by either adding it to your game collection or just renting it as it's an alright game.
