This game is beautiful, with interesting characters and a nicely twisting plot. It's main problem is that it's just too hard. I beat the original Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank and got 100% completion on both. I'm about halfway through Jak II and missions are taking at least five tries each to get through. Plus, they took the absolute weakest feature of the original game - the zoomer - and built the entire second game around it. There are many, many missions that require you to drive at full speed through a city choked with people and cars, while the cops shoot at you constantly. It's not fun, it's frustrating. The only thing keeping me going is that the traditional levels have all been extraordinarily well designed - they are FUN. If the zoomer levels just weren't there (or if they were skippable after a certain number of failures) the game would have scored a lot higher with me. At this point, I can't help but think that the odds of me seeing the END of this very interesting story are very low.
