Words cannot describe the sinking feeling in my gut when I first had the displeasure of playing Hydro Thunder on my home console for the very first time. I was extremely disappointed having first played the arcade versions as well as on my friends Dreamcast in my youth. Ports like this should be a reminder to both gamers and developers that you shouldn't transfer a technically impressive game to a system which can't live up to its hype. With all of that said. The game itself has the courses and boat from the original yet doesn't bring any new bonus port content to the table nor does it have the incredible graphics and sound that made the original versions classics. I can only recommend the other versions. If you only have a Playstation I'd recommend you leave this game alone and play the other amazing racing titles on Sony's vintage system.
