Not bad, but the game has its problems. First off...I hate cel-shaded games with a passion...but I gotta admit it does the Hulk some justice. The graphics are almost reminiscent of being straight out of the comics, and that's definitely a good thing. The gameplay is pretty fun. When you play as the Hulk, you can literally bash everything in sight. When you play as Banner however, you must rely on stealth and cunning to solve puzzles. If you don't like stealth games, then tough sh*t. Get over it, because you have to play through the level to progress. Its a nice break from all the smash and bash action. But then of course there is the absolute tedium of the missions. The Hulk's missions can become quite boring, since its basically "smash, next room, smash, next room, smash, next room, smash, back track, smash, next room, smash, next room, smash." Sure, its fun beating on everything in sight, but you start getting overwhelmed by enemies. You can fight up to 10 enemies at once, but can concentrate on only 1 at a time, which makes big battles drag on. Some enemies have an answer for absolutely everythign you do, especially in later levels, that can get on your nerves. The boss fights can be EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. One particular boss fight has you fighting a soldier that's been Gamma-exposed so he's 'Hulked'. Now since he's impervious to your damage(which is completely ridiculous to begin with...this is the friggin' Hulk we're talking about), you have to concentrate on smashing the control panels around the room, which take alot of hits, while trying to fend him off you. When you finally defeat him, you have to repeat the entire process again, except this time he does triple the damage to you, moves at lightning speed, and takes even less damage than before. So as you can tell, after all the effort, only having to fight him again is quite annoying. Overall its a decent game. Smash 'n bash action levels mixed in with occasional stealth levels, which can also be quite frustrating since Banner is defenseless and you must start over if you become the Hulk, make for a decent mix of gameplay, even if its just a little frustrating. Pick it up if you're a Hulk fan or if you are looking for an almost mindless beat'em up with a decent plot and new enemies thrown in now scene in the upcoming flick.
