A good game? Yes. Overrated? Yes. How long can you run around just shooting aliens?

Halo is a very over rated game. All I kept hearing was how dumb I was not to buy an Xbox because Xbox has Halo. Let me say that Halo is a good game, but its not the greatest game in the history of games like some people make it out to be. The graphics look good in the beginning. The world is amazing and the sights and sounds are really top notch. However, the game starts losing its appeal when you fight indoors. You walk through the same corridors over and over and over again, shoot the same aliens over and over and over again. It is fun at first, but just shooting aliens gets old. There aren't too many weapons. And why can you only carry two? When you need to use a sniper rifle you only have one option for another weapon. As the game goes on you don't get any more powerful weapons nor do you gain any abilities, nope. All you do is shoot aliens. The sound is actually its best part. You can hear bugs, water running, people walking, aliens talking, etc.. Basically, if you enjoy shooting aliens this is the game for you. You don't have to worry about getting more energy for Master Chief. You don't have to worry about any secrets either. If you like puzzles, unique challenges, ability to build your character up, get more weapons, etc.. this isn't for you. What you start out with, is what you end with minus a few vehicles and a couple weapons only useful for a certain point in the game. Overall, its a good shooter that gets old too fast. You don't build up Master Chief, you don't get special new weapons you can use throughout the game, you have to pass through the same indoor hallways over and over, and there are no puzzles or secrets in the game.
