A game like this comes along only every once in a blue moon. There's one every other year...maybe.
A game so underestimated, so underappreciated, so under the radar, so underground that it catches on and gains notoriety by word of mouth. It gains a legendary status through tales of awe and woe.
Gunstar Heroes fits well into the timeline it was released in, but it's also way ahead of it's time.
Co-op is almost too fun. It should be illegal it's so fun.
Graphics are quite crisp for the date they were concocted.
The pacing of the game is quite a rush in and of itself.
If you came across it in someone's old gaming stash you would simply fall in love at first sight.
If you came across it by chance in a mall at some random gaming store you'd do a double take-maybe even a triple take-and snatch the copy up like so much change.
Seriously.
It's that cool.
