Better than I though it would be...a new "type" of MMO

Well, not being able to jump was one of my pet peeves in GW1, so the first thing I did was hit space bar...and sure enough, my character jumped!! Instant classic right there...no??
Ok...so for those calling it a WoW killer, as someone who has played WoW since Burning Crusade, I would disagree...WoW is in the process of killing itself right now and GW2 might be released at the right time with the right ingredients to take some of the millions away from the long standing MMO champ.

What I like...graphics are fun and not bland. Action is as constant as you want, travel is easy. The combat system seems limiting at first but immersive as you run around and try to avoid getting hit.
Crafting seems different....everyone can gather everything if you have the right tools with you, but you can only choose two professions which is nice. They did a good job making the game friendly in that you can't go kill steal and therefore you're not constantly raging at people for stealing mobs...on the contrary, it's nice to get a couple quick hits in while you run by someone in battle.

I quickly tried 5 different classes and enjoyed aspects of each. So many weapon combinations...you can basically play this game any way you want...melee, ranged...haven't gotten to tanking or healing yet if there is such thing in GW2...too early for me.

And I will admit that having a waiting area to play in rather than waiting in line to log in is a great idea.

What I don't like...Death comes quickly and without warning some times, but as long as people are around, you're likely not out for the count...sometimes a lack of direction...DC's constantly (it's at launch...I guess I have to forgive a bit right)...combat may be too simplified, but we'll see as I level.

Overall, if you're curious...I'd say give it a whirl. I like it...but I'll be bored in a month or two...but the good news is I can go back and play at any time without "reactivating" my subscription....yes...that is why this is a winner for me.
