Grid really has a hard time separating itself from other great racers because well, it's really not that great.

I absolutely love racing games. They give me a fresh release from those bloody shooter games that I conjure most of my time doing. My favorites being Project Gotham Racing 4 and Forza 2. Grid on the other hand, well, just really didn't do anything special or show anything remotely better than the other two franchises. The car handling and maneuverability is just out-of-whack and immensely frustrating. Isn't a racing game about speed and passing the competition? Well, kiss going over 200mph goodbye because Grid's overwhelming corners and turns cause you to slow down and try and squeeze through with little or no error due to the fact that you WILL spin out with even a slight flick of the analog stick. Okay Grid, thank you for ridiculous controls that make me spin out and lose the race just about every other turn.

The story and or "Race Day", if you will, adds another generic approach to another modern racer. But this time around, this generic racer is stale. I'm not trying to harp too much on Grid because the graphics are beautiful, but don't expect me to ever again spend 30$ at a GameStop justifying the game just by the back of the cover thinking that this racer seems to be jam packed with cool features and great replay value. Fool me once, shame on you..fool me twice, i'll burn every copy of this game at the next bonfire party I go to.

Grid could have atleast given us a much better feel of victory after winning the overwhelming and annoying race that we just encountered rather than just adding another $2,000 to your Race Bank. I mean, how can you make a wonderful car such as an Aston Martin be imported into a huge yawn of a game. Yes, there is a decent game in Grid, but you will have to come to terms with yourself when you are brainwashed with the repetitive onslaught of Grid's overall manner. And i'm telling you now..it's a haunting feeling.

Grid needs help. Even itself is suffering from it's makers mishaps and I absolutely feel bad for the game, and even that's creepy.
