GHTP Max'd proves you can slap a new cover on an older game and sell as much copies as the first

User Rating: 3.3 | Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd XBOX
Gameplay - 3/10
On my review of GHTP, i stated most of the reasons with it. I don't think i will do that this time because Max'd is THE SAME GAME. There are a couple new guns and teams, but they don't change the game at all. You can now also tell your guys where to run, which is also useless because they do not shoot while they are moving. The AI in Max'd are even dumber then the lackluster AI found in the first GHTP. They do not move up, shoot in the right direction, grab the flag, or provide cover. They don't even provide good bullet shields. The guns in GHTP are completely jumbled around. If you paintball, tou will notice this right away. For christ sake, one of the top 3 guns is a real gun retailing at $250 new! There are the same players you can pick for your team as in the first GHTP.
Pretty much you can do the same moves in Max'd as you could in the first. There are new cool additions at all. There is still the same cheating system, which gives you the ability to wipe paint. There is also a takced on multiplayer mode which does not allow the second player to do anything the first player can do. The second player picks one of the team mates on your team and thats that. No customizablity, no changing guns or equipment, no nothing. There are a ton of different courses that, just like the first one, all look and feel the same. The lack of diversity is a major problem with Max'd.

Graphics - 3/10
The graphics were bad in GHTP 1 and there even worse in max'd. The problem? They are the same graphics from the first! Nothing is changed! There is only 2 environments still, and they look muddy and uncrisp. Horrible, just horrible...

Sound - 3/10
There is only 2 different gun sound effects and the whole sound track is crappy rap music. There is no talking or cheering at all. The only thing giving this a 3 for sound is the ability to put your own music in.

Value - 7/10
Well, if you like Max'd, you probably will play it for a while, espically if you have xbox live. I personally can't play that game anymore because it is just so boring. But, you might like it and play it a lot.

Overall, GHTP Max'd is a terrible game. Even worse then the first because it is the same game. The only difference is Max'd came out a year later. I would not recommend Max'd to anyone at all! It is just plain awful.
