This isn't just a ps2 driving simulator. It is THE ps2 driving simulator.
I got surprised by how nice and clean the graphics look, even in standard resolution it looks amazing. The reflections on the car look very realistic and driving the car feels very realistic as well.
The environment is also very well made, so you might find yourself crashing just because you were looking the mountains on the horizon.
When it comes to the amount of cars, there are a hell of a lot of choices, that means that if you get tired of using one car, you can change to another. All the cars have different grip and stuff, so it will be kinda different every time you choose another one.
The gran turismo mode is not big deal though... you just have to get your licence first by doing some sort of training which by the way get's very old after the first 5 minutes of playing it. Then you just have to win races all over the world to get some money to buy a better car to win more races to get more money to buy an even better car... It practically never ends, so it gets boring at times.
This is the type of game you'll only play on quickplay mode. And after you have satisfied your needs for speed you will stop playing. As simple as that.
Despite all this, the game offers you a really great driving experience so if you own a ps2 and want to buy a driving simulator, don't think twice and give this game a chance.
