I really liked all Gradius games ever since the Nintendo era. Now I can play them at work, at home, at the park at lunch time...etc. The sounds are pretty much the same, I was surprised that this game made it this far in time, but I still find the gameplay hard, and the re-play value overall good. Although many 2D games aren't alive as they should be, you won't be disappointed with Gradius Collection, that is...if you were a fan of the originals! The only problem I had, was the controls at first, I find it a little hard to drive even with the great PSP controller. I rather used the analog stick instead. The sounds weren't that impressive, assuming that this would be greater crisp sounds coming from a CD instead of a cartridge. Although for twenty bucks now, what would you expect? This game is good, not great, but I have always been a fan...therefore I'll stick to my opinion!
